Hello, I’m Lys (she/her)! I’m library worker in the US who fell deep in the BL manga swamp. Basically, I’m a big fan. I completed my MLIS degree in December 2025. I also am currently learning Japanese.

I started Stacks of BL to both practice writing reviews and also be another resource of information on BL! I primarily focus on writing about Japanese BL manga available in English and in print, as that what will be primarily available to libraries through certain vendors. I may occasionally review titles only available digitally or from smaller print publishers as well.

While I do have a bit of a library worker spin to the blog, I hope this blog can be of use to a variety of people, whether they’re new to BL or a long time fan.
